Everitt Design is getting a facelift, or should I say rooflift. The haunted look and feel of our building will soon begin to dissipate. The old, inefficient roof is coming off, shingles, deck, insulation and all. Its been difficult to concentrate with all the pounding, Titus' pacing, and the niggling fear that any minute a foot or entire body may come crashing down into the office.
A tree snuggled up to the back of the building with branches that scratch against the windows much like nails on a chalk board also needs to come down. I can't say that I'll miss the screeching scratching sounds on windy days. The office fills with the smell of chainsaw as the tree is slowly brought down, quite a fascinating process.
One of the contractors we love working with, Renovations
Plus, is managing the project. They are efficient, detail oriented, and super
nice and easy to work with. Once the spray foam insulation and new roof are on,
the front porch will be straightened out and fixed, a new light will replace
the broken one, and a fresh coat of paint applied. Check back for more photos of the transformation from tired and slightly haunted looking to fresh and inviting.
