Experiencing Hardwood Floors as never before

We are back in Winnipeg after enjoying the charm and hospitality of Quebec for a few days.

Meticulous Wood Flooring Inc. graciously invited us along to tour Boa-Franc, the manufacturing plant for Mirage Hardwood Flooring. The group consisted of a wonderful group of Designers, Retailers and Home Builders from Manitoba and Saskatchewan as well as GR Distributors, distributors of Mirage flooring. The entire tour was an incredible experience, from the zero landfill policy including extensive sustainability practices to the spotless and organized plant to the highest quality standards and finally the beautiful finished product.

Not only did we tour Boa-Franc, we also toured old Quebec City. The architecture and attention to detail was stunning and the numerous stairs certainly added to the adventure and helped us work of the rich and delicious food. After spending most of a day exploring Quebec we visited Cabane à Sucre where we were treated to traditional French food, music, and of course, maple syrup!

What a wonderful way to experience French culture and the quality of Mirage Hardwood Flooring.

Highlights from the Interior Design Show

The Interior Design Show was absolutely incredible! Inspiring and thought provoking speakers and an overwhelming array of product displays and installations made for an exhilarating experience.

Although all the speakers had a lot to offer, one speaker in particular stood out. Fabio Novembre spoke with such passion and conviction that you couldn’t help but be moved. He spoke of the importance of cultural history, being true to yourself in design and gaining inspiration from the human form. His sincerity was not just an act on stage as he genuinely thanked and hugged people afterwards. Check out his work at http://www.novembre.it/

Time seemed to stop as we drifted from one display to another, the only indication of time passing was the ever increasing weight of catalogs and brochures. Be sure to check out the photos above and click on them to see corresponding websites for a brief sampling of products.

Interior Design Show

Everitt Design is heading to the Interior Design Show in Toronto! Toronto is always a hub of excitement but add to that the most creative designers, architects, etc. and excitement reaches a whole new level. We will be inspired by designers speaking on the theme “Trailblazers and Trendspotters” and bring back fresh and unique products and ideas. Check back next week for glimpses of the experience.
